At one of my prenatal appointments with my doula, I told her I was working hard to stock my freezer full of meals for postpartum. She encouraged me to focus on one-handed healthy snacks in addition, and I’m so glad she did! I only set the baby down a handful of times in those first two weeks, and I was HUNGRY! These were the perfect snack. They contain galactagogue foods to encourage milk production, but are great for kids and husbands as well! I wanted to name them Lactation Balls, but Energy Bites seems to be a better fit. They are protein-packed and a great nutrient-dense snack, with just the right amount of sweetness.
